ABOUT US
Equipping the Church, Empowering the Called, Engaging the World
The early church was young, bold, and full of the Holy Spirit. In the book of Acts, we see a vibrant community devoted to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer (Acts 2:42).
The result? The Lord added to their numbers daily (Acts 2:47). God used these believers to change the world, and today, He is doing it again. Across the globe, new expressions of the body of Christ are rising—some in places of great challenge, others where the Gospel is just beginning to take root.
Yet, many of these frontline ministries lack the resources, skills, and tools to complete the work God has entrusted to them. EquiPower exists to equip, empower, and engage these ministries. Equipower’s purpose is to become authentic partners with these frontline ministries to walk alongside them as they work to fulfill God’s purpose.
To the Ends of the Earth
The call of Jesus is clear: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). This mandate was not given to a select few but to the entire church. Some are called to the mission field directly, others are called to send, and others are called to pray.
At EquiPower, we embrace this global call with open doors. Invitations are coming from Europe to Nepal and beyond, as leaders across the nations seek partnership to strengthen their work. We are committed to answering this call with faithfulness to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
Whether it’s a persecuted church in a restricted nation or a growing congregation in a developing region, we are prepared to stand with them, ensuring they are equipped to thrive and fulfill their God-given mission.
Authentic Partnership for Kingdom Impact
How do we do this? Through genuine, long-term partnerships built on trust, relationship, and shared vision. For over three decades, we have walked alongside ministry leaders who are laboring for the Kingdom in some of the most challenging and spiritually ripe places on earth.
These relationships are not transactional but transformational—built on faith, shared experiences, and a mutual commitment to advancing the Gospel.
We provide frontline workers with strategic training, coaching, and consulting. We help them overcome obstacles unique to their nations to maximize impact. This support is not about imposing our agenda but rather strengthening what God has already started within their communities.
An Invitation to Join the Mission
When you partner with EquiPower, you are not just supporting a ministry—you are actively participating in the Great Commission. Some are called to go and initiate training, encourage, and serve. Others are called to give, sending their resources to sustain and expand the work. And many are called to intercede, covering these efforts in prayer. Each role is vital, and together, we form a powerful force for the Kingdom. Through partnership, you will witness lives transformed, churches strengthened, and communities changed by the power of the Gospel.
The early church turned the world upside down with boldness and the power of the Holy Spirit. Today, that same fire is spreading. Will you join us? Will you stand with those on the frontlines and see the nations reached for Christ? The mission is clear. The need is great. And the opportunity is now. Let’s equip, empower, and engage—together.
Stories About Ministry Engagement
ALBANIA
The Miracle of Albania: A Vision for Transformation
My passion for the unreached—the lost, the least, and the left behind—led Sam Scaggs to Albania in 1991, then considered the most unreached nation in the world. After decades of communist oppression, Albania was a land where faith had been outlawed, and an entire generation had been raised without the Gospel.
Yet, even in the darkest places, God’s light can break through. Scaggs came with a burden to see this nation transformed, not knowing that this journey would lead to an unfolding miracle that continues to this day.
It all began with a radical shift in his missiological understanding. He had long believed that evangelism was about bringing truth to those who had never heard it. But then he met Don Richardson, author of Peace Child and Eternity in Their Hearts, and perspectives changed forever.
In Peace Child, Richardson tells the story of a missionary reaching a violent, treacherous tribe. The people valued betrayal and deception—until a redemptive analogy within their own culture revealed Christ.
The tribe had a custom where two warring families could establish peace if one gave their child to the other. The Gospel came alive when they realized that Jesus is God’s perfect Peace Child.
In Eternity in Their Hearts, Richardson argues that every culture has been prepared by God with a “redemptive analogy”—a door through which the Gospel can enter.
These insights reshaped Scaggs’ approach to missions. He no longer sought to impose a foreign faith but to discover how God had already prepared Albania for the Gospel.
Back in Albania, he met two extraordinary women: Gesina Blaaw and Najua Diba. Najua’s story was astonishing. An unknown Albanian had fled communism, made his way to Brazil, and became a devoted disciple of Jesus. He received a prophetic word that would change everything:
“The key to the fundamentalist Muslim world is Constantinople, and the key to Constantinople is Albania.”
This prophecy led Najua to Albania in 1991, where we met. As Scaggs began planting churches throughout the country, he taught this vision to new believers. One day, a young woman named Klementina spoke up:
“I know what the redemptive analogy is for my people! It’s education!”
She explained that Albanians valued learning above all. If we established a school with excellence, it would open doors for the Gospel. In 2011, we started with just five students in a hotel—partnering with an unbelieving businessman to finance and build it.
Today, despite countless obstacles, the school, Lezha Academic Center and church stand as a beacon of light in Albania. But God is writing a new chapter. A $15 million campus has become available for just a third of its value. This facility will double enrollment, provide vocational and Bible training, and equip future leaders to bring the Gospel to Albania, Constantinople, and the Middle Eastern world.

Answering the Call: A Global Partnership to End Human Trafficking
International human trafficking of women and girls is a global crime that devastates lives and communities.
It involves the recruitment, transportation, and exploitation of victims through force, fraud, or coercion, often for forced labor or sexual exploitation.
Traffickers prey on vulnerable individuals, using deception, violence, and economic hardship to trap them in situations where they have little to no freedom.
This human rights violation affects millions worldwide, with organized criminal networks, corrupt officials, and weak legal enforcement enabling its persistence across borders. The Body of Christ cannot remain silent in the face of such evil.
As of 2024, approximately 500 non-profit organizations in the United States are actively engaged in combating human trafficking, providing victim support, education, and advocacy.
Globally, countless organizations are working to free women and girls from sexual slavery, yet the statistics remain staggering. Only 1% of girls trapped in this criminal industry break free.
These numbers reveal both the scope of the crisis and the urgent need for action.
The Church has a critical role to play in this battle, responding with the love, justice, and power of Christ to set captives free.
EquiPower has answered this call by partnering with an organization dedicated to rescuing victims of sex trafficking and restoring them to a life of dignity and purpose.
Through this partnership, survivors receive care, counseling, and discipleship, helping them reclaim their identity as daughters of our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ. But the mission does not end with rescue and restoration.
These young women are empowered to build new lives, becoming business owners, leaders in their communities, and even church planters. What the enemy intended for destruction, God is transforming into a powerful testimony of redemption.
However, this work cannot be done alone. The fight against human trafficking requires a united and global response. As members of the Body of Christ, we must stand together, praying, giving, and going to bring the light of Christ into the darkest places.
We invite you to become part of this mission. For security reasons, we cannot disclose too much information online, but we would love to meet with you to share more details about how you can partner with us. Whether through financial support, intercessory prayer, or even direct involvement in mission work, there is a place for you in this fight.
The Bible commands us to “seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow” (Isaiah 1:17).
Will you answer the call? Will you stand in the gap for these precious lives and be part of the solution? Together, we can bring hope, healing, and the Gospel to those who need it most.
Join us today. Pray, give, and go. Together, we can break the chains of trafficking and bring freedom in Christ to the nations.
